Here at First Presbyterian Church, you will find a community that is rooted in love, service, and hope.
At the heart of all do is the belief in reaching out to all people and not just with words, but also with our actions. We are a community of believers who are committed to walking alongside our neighbors, meeting practical needs, and sharing the life changing love of Jesus Christ.
Our Heart for Our Community
We are here to serve our city, not just ourselves. From monthly food drives, working in partnership with 3 local schools, Lincoln McCandless, HMS 7 and Midway Ave A, we support the needs of students and staff throughout the year and such more across our community. We provide welcoming, safe spaces for children, youth, and young families. Our outreach efforts are motivated by genuine compassion. Our aim is to make a difference by demonstrating God’s love in real and relevant ways.
The Good News
In everything we do, we want to show others that a personal relationship with Jesus is the key ingredient to a better life. Our message is a simple one:
You are created to have a relationship with God.
Sin has kept us apart from God, but there is hope…
Jesus died on a cross for our sins, so that we could have a new start, a new life.
Having Jesus in your life brings you peace, purpose, and a future of hope with God for eternity.
